BESTSELLING AUTHOR ELIZABETH GILBERT TO SPEAK AT BALBOA THEATRE ON FEBRUARY 22
The "Eat Pray Love" Author Will Answer Audience Questions After Lecture

SAN DIEGO (September 5, 2023) — Elizabeth Gilbert, author of bestseller "Eat Pray Love" will speak at the historic Balboa Theatre on Thursday, February 22, 2024. Gilbert will discuss her writing, life, and creativity, followed by a Q&A session. The event is presented by San Diego Theatres, the nonprofit arts organization that manages the Balboa Theatre, in association with the Writer's Symposium By The Sea, a five-day event at Point Loma Nazarene University featuring award-winning writers from diverse perspectives and genres. Tickets for An Evening with Elizabeth Gilbert are available via presale now at https://bit.ly/ElizabethGilbertSanDiego, and will be available to the general public on September 8 at 10:00 a.m.

In both her critically acclaimed novels and popular works of nonfiction, Gilbert writes with “a mix of intelligence, wit, and colloquial exuberance that is close to irresistible” (The New York Times Book Review). In her lectures, she talks about her writing, and seizing the opportunity to live a life guided by creativity rather than fear. The evening’s Q&A will be conducted by Dr. Dean Nelson, Director of Writer's Symposium By The Sea. “We are thrilled to partner with San Diego Theatres to host Elizabeth Gilbert. The evening will be a fitting addition to our annual symposium, as her approach to a life of creativity is inspiring to any writer,” said Dr. Nelson.
