WRITER, HUMORIST, & RADIO HOST PETER SAGAL TO SPEAK AT HISTORIC BALBOA THEATRE

The Host of NPR’s Beloved “Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!” Arrives October 15 

SAN DIEGO (July 17, 2023) — San Diego Theatres, the nonprofit arts organization that operates the San Diego Civic Theatre & Balboa Theatre, will present “An Evening with Peter Sagal, Host of ‘Wait, Wait…Don’t Tell Me!’” on Sunday, October 15 at Balboa Theatre. This brand-new program will include hilarious stories and insights from Sagal, a renowned writer, humorist, and radio host. As the 25-year host of NPR's "Wait Wait ... Don’t Tell Me!", Sagal leads guest panelists in a satirical romp through the news for a weekly audience of millions. Along with his work on “Wait, Wait…”, Sagal is a Harvard graduate, playwright, marathon runner, and more! Guests attending this special evening can expect a behind-the-scenes peek at “Wait, Wait…”, along with Sagal’s signature colorful commentary on current events. “For millions of Americans, Peter Sagal has been a key voice in their home for decades, and we are thrilled to bring him to our stage,” says Cindy Bowers, Director of Programming for San Diego Theatres.
