THE LIFE AND MUSIC OF GEORGE MICHAEL TO BRING FAMOUS HITS TO BALBOA THEATRE IN JANUARY 2024
Tickets for Concert-Style Show Honoring Late Singer go on Sale Friday, June 23

SAN DIEGO (June 19, 2023) — San Diego Theatres presents The Life & Music of George Michael, a musical retelling of the story of one of pop's most influential performers, which will play the historic Balboa Theatre on Sunday, January 28, 2024. The concert-style show spans four decades of music and includes blockbuster hits like “Wake Me Up Before You Go Go,” “Freedom,” “Faith,” “Careless Whisper,” “Father Figure,” and many more. Tickets will be available starting Friday, June 23 at 10 AM via https://bit.ly/LifeAndMusicOfGMSanDiego.

“This event honors George Michael’s career and be a celebration for his fans,” says producer Ralph Schmidtke of Quatro Entertainment. “Over the years, George’s popularity has continued to grow, and The Life and Music of George Michael will give fans a glimpse of his life and hear all the songs they have come to love.”

The show chronicles the amazing journey the singer had with music and his fans. Michael rose to fame as a member of Wham! In the early 80’s. His 1987 solo album “Faith” had four number one hits including the title track, “Monkey,” “Father Figure,” and “One More Try.” He won two Grammy Awards, three Brit awards, three American Music Awards and four MTV Video Music Awards, and in 2023 will be inducted into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame.

The Life and Music of George Michael is proudly presented by San Diego Theatres, the nonprofit that operates both the Balboa Theatre and San Diego Civic Theatre. To learn more, visit www.sandiegotheatres.org.
