SWAN LAKE

Saturday, October 28 – 7:30p &
Sunday, October 29 – 1:00p & 5:30p

The quintessential ballet, Swan Lake is undoubtedly the most popular of all classical ballets. Presented in four acts, Swan Lake is the tragic tale of Odette, the beautiful Swan Queen who is imprisoned under the spell of the evil sorcerer Von Rothbart. Swan Lake is the ultimate power struggle between good and evil, paired with the promise of everlasting love.

Choreographed by Thor Sutowski, the full length Swan Lake was added to the California Ballet Company repertoire with its 1997 debut to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike. California Ballet is thrilled to open its 50th Anniversary Season with this iconic ballet at the Civic Theatre.
